Dinner at Revival over game morning and Bernie workout

FEBRURARY 11, 2024

Today was a confusing and surprisingly busy day. In the morning, I listened to my earlier-than-normal alarm and took my meds at 8:15am with half an avocado. Then, it was time for me to attend my 9am workout session with Bernie. I realized by looking back at my blog that I don’t think I’ve seen him since I attended the show his band was in. That feels like forever ago. We finished our workout, and then I went back to Papa’s house.

At his house, we had a morning game session when mom came over too. We started out by playing group solitaire (maybe slam-i-tair), and then we also played a few rounds of Blokus, right before Grandma came over. When she came over, she brought a big board to play Scrabble. We played a few rounds, and we think mom won on points.

This really becomes the point where it becomes very, very apparent to me why I need to take notes. I just completely forget what happened in between playing Scrabble and deciding to go out to dinner with Kathy.

I’ll just skip to that then... It became time for dinner, and I chose to go with mom when she went to meet up with her friend Kathy. We went to a restaurant called Revival. I ordered some kind of “half chicken” thing, but the true highlight of the meal was actually the mac n’ cheese that it came with, which I kind of anticipated being better even when I ordered it in the first place. I’m also going to admit that at dinner, I forgot my notes notebook at the house, so we were forced to tear up some paper to give me something to write on. That just shows again how important it is for me to write information down, even to process it in the moment.

I should also mention that photo that I have of myself holding both my drink and my mom’s drink, which we sent to Papa and joked that I was having both of them. I did not. We also arranged for Kathy to pick me up for a brain injury support group this Tuesday night.
