Cornerhouse photos and Canasta with Papa

Updated: Apr 16, 2023

April 13, 2023: Well today was cool. In the morning I drove over to Golden Valley to shoot an event for Cornerhouse. It was called the Brave Kids Breakfast. The woman who was in charge was this lady named Ivy, who I’d emailed before to set up the event. There were a couple people I talked to at the Cornerhouse event too, including some of the other people at the Corherhouse Volunteers table. I was careful to not eat the breakfast that they provided until 9:34am too. It was like eggs and hash browns and pastries. Then I photographed a couple people giving speeches there. Ivy said that I didn’t have to get the names of people I took pictures of, but I wrote down that the first two people who spoke were Tina and Lisa. I also got a name tag there, and thought the orange juice was really good. Then I went home and downloaded my photos right away and then I went over to Papa’s to edit. We also ate the sushi from Whole Foods that we hadn’t eaten yesterday. I had the Spicy Shrimp Roll. Then we played Canasta, which was wonderful. I love Canasta. I started off losing badly but came back and maybe I’ll win when we finish the game some other day. It’s up in the air. Today I also texted Hannah the link to my Cornerhouse photos, after I had already sent it to Ivy and to Papa. I had my night meds at 4:20pm today along with some hummus and crackers from Papa’s house. He helped me calculate the fat. Then I went home. I got ready to go to Open Door too, where tonight I worked at 5:15pm as a Spanish translator. Some cool things happened at Open Door too. Well first of all I called some people back in Spanish and did two new clients in Spanish. Owen also asked me about my photo of the day and I told him it was from a volunteer photo thing I did for Cornerhouse. Then he said that they might need some photography at Open Door too. So I talked to Owen and Sean, who was back from vacation, about doing photos for them. They told me to just bring in my camera the next time I volunteer there, which it looks like is Monday. Oh and I also learned that Owen is 23, which is not important at all but is kinda interesting.
