July 9, 2023: Alright didn’t do any of this earlier in the day. Just a bit past 7 now and I’m starting it. Well the thing I’ve gotta start with is that today mom told me that I put too many details in my photos of the day. I said that I feel like if I don’t write it down it didn’t happen. So anyways this was a day full of hanging out with mom. Basically first thing in the morning, I woke up at Liam’s house, and had my meds at 7:30am with the bar that Hannah’s mom gave me the other day. It was like one gram short on fat count, but I used it anyways. It was an Rx bar that she randomly gave me a few days ago. Then I drove home, and mom came over to drop off my laundry that she’d done the other day. Then I put away all my laundry, and since she was already over, then we decided to try the new restaurant that moved into the place that used to be Casa Maria, which had been a bit expensive. The new one was called Fusion, and serves a lot of breakfast food. I had the chilaquiles verdes, and I thought it was spectacular. Our server was a guy named Marcus, and I even wrote a review that mentioned his name at the end, which working at Fogo has taught me to do. He also took our photo. In the middle of the meal mom actually said she wished we’d brought Canasta, and I actually ran back to my apartment to grab the deck, and even though it was a bit windy to have cards on the table, we tried to play a bit. Funny enough I remember that Marcus commented the restaurant has only been open four days, and he lives 5 minutes away. I said that I don’t even live five minute away, pointing to my apartment. I also got an orange juice that cost a bit much, and then I stupidly asked for a refill, which cost double. So that was dumb, with a decently priced rest of the meal. Then we actually decided to go back to mom’s pool, where I used the swim suit I leave at her place. Not my favorite, but a lot of my favorites are packed for the cabin anyways. When I was at the pool with mom, I opened up BeReal to take a selfie, and shockingly it was exactly on time for the daily photo, second day in a row I’ve done it on accident. At the pool I also had the best conversation ever with a girl who lives there. Her name is Mercedes and she was there with her husband DJ. Didn’t write down anything, but when I went back to the chair I was able to take a few notes with a pen that mom had brought be because I said I didn’t wanna read any more of my mystery book not taking notes. I didn’t actually read much of it at the pool anyways, but I’ll read a bit more tonight. Ok so I started the conversation with Mercedes by getting in the pool and walking over and asking her what her tattoo was, because it was basically a whole sleeve. It definitely had some flowers on it, and also maybe a verse from Ecclesiastes, which had something to do with her brother. Don’t remember the rest, because it had a lot of elements. I also told the two of them pretty much everything. I told them about the car crash and TBI, and also about the cancer, even mentioning the guy got 45 days. Mentioned that right now I’m not working but I’m volunteering at a bunch of Spanish-needing food banks. Funny enough, Mercedes also said that she used to live in Puerto Rico, but doesn’t really speak Spanish. They recommended Puerto Rico when I said I might be able to do a trip there in September. They also said they’re married and ultimately wanna move to North Carolina because both their families are from there. Well then we hung out at the pool a bit more, and did the family Zoom call, which weirdly had fewer people on it than usual. We did say though that we had to leave a few minutes early to get dinner. Good we did that because I barely was able to finish eating by 5:30pm, for my meds. We tried to go to Sidebar to use a gift card, but it wasn’t open so we went to Stray Dog, another place in Northeast. Shockingly I had chilaquiles again. Two times in one day, and I can’t even decide which one was better because they were both fantastic. I also succeeding in bringing mom’s Canasta deck in my fanny pack, and when she randomly said it would have been a good place to bring cards, I pulled them out. Didn’t finish a whole game before our food came, but she was a bit ahead of me. I also had a Lime Supra Modist beer, and then mom drove me home. When I got home it was late enough for me to take my meds after dinner, at 7:30pm exactly just like the morning. I also did a video chat a with guy from Hinge. Shockingly he also has a Hyundai car, and also doesn’t know anything about cars or fixing them, though I told him all my recent car problems. Anyways, that was the end of my night. Didn’t shower, maybe I’ll do it the next night.
