I’ll just skip to my photos today. At night, my family all played a few rounds of multi-person solitaire together at my dad’s house. On top of that BeReal picture, I placed a copy of the photo that Rotary sent me today when I had taken a photo of Open Door leaders for Rotary. I learned about it because recently I was trying to find the date I first volunteered there, so I searched “open door” in my family’s iCal. The first date I saw was actually an event from July 22nd in the year 2020 that read, “Photo at Open Door Eagan.” So what I did after I had seen that was I had contacted Rotary to see if they could find the photo I took back then. It’s been some back and forth with them, but today a man finally emailed the picture to me. It’s interesting to see Open Door's old location, and I guess I was right that I have never been inside it, because I know I didn’t go inside when taking that photo.
I feel like I should cover the rest of my day, which I do not have photos of at all. This morning, I went in to renew my license, which also involved having a new photo taken. The new photo is significantly worse than the old one. I kind of always knew I’d never get another picture as good as my last one was, because I looked like a model or something back then. My address was also like three addresses out of date. Then, we went back to my mom’s house, where we responded to Alec from the Minnesota Brain Injury Alliance about some public speaking opportunities coming up. I admit that even though I’ve been feeling kinda down recently, that is something exciting for me. We also worked on the speech I might want to give, and we got a very solid first draft down. I started from the speech I gave to Rotary, and I cut most of my time talking about cancer, since I’ll be speaking to people who know and care about brain injuries.
Oh, and I had done my morning meds at 8:26 am with avocado toast, and at night I was able to eat the pizza that the whole family shared with my night meds at 5:53 pm.
