Cafe Caysi with Nathan

Oct. 16, 2022: Well today I met up with Nathan, another brain injury survivor. We meant to meet at cafe Nina’s but was closing at 5 so we decided to meet there and walk to a nearby one. This one was like a 15 minute walk away and I got a really expensive cup of some iced coffee. It had some flavor but I don’t know what it was. Nathan and I talked a lot and I told him a lot. I didn’t even write down everything I said. I did write down that apparently he used to be a commercial real estate development analyst. The accident was 3 years ago for him. He lives with this mom which has to help. And he isn’t driving because of epilepsy from the accident. One problem I don’t have. I met his mom too. After the cafe we walked over to his house and had more coffee. Today I also got a massage, which mom did not end up canceling. I talked to the masseuse Julian a lot. Told her all about the crash. Though I avoided saying I’ll probably never be happy. Did talk to Nathan about that though. Asked him if he’d ever thought he’d never be happy, and he said yes for sure. I did also show him my journal that I was writing small in. He said he liked to read the news and not journal so much.
