Barre with Jordan and Eating Burger with Hannah, Max, Caroline

June 23, 2023: Alright so lemme go to my photo first because that’s the thing I’m writing just after doing right now. Basically Hannah, Caroline and I met up at my house, because Caroline just had some med school thing right by Lake Nokomis. She also brought her boyfriend Max. Then all of us walked to Venn Brewery. So lemme go back to this morning. Basically I first woke up at like 4:04am, and just noted the time and went back to sleep. Then I actually woke up and took my meds at 6:30am. I did it with an 11g fat yogurt with apricot and mango. Then I went into my barre class at 9am today. This was the class with the girl who I’ve been talking to a little bit named Jessica. Today I learned she’s actually a woman, not a girl, because I had assumed she was about my age, but then I learned toady she was 45. Shocking. I even told her she looked younger than that. I haven’t even mentioned my photos or this project to her yet. I also took a selfie with the instructor, Jordan, today. Then I had my training session with Will. I learned that he’s actually gonna be out of town next week so he can’t do our Friday session, and he’s also about to get promoted and will not be able to train anymore. He’ll still be at the JCC, but no more personal training sessions after a few weeks. He also told me that the thing that Jordan did in her sessions when she’d tell us to do the thing with the opposite leg was only because she was giving it to us in reverse, because she was standing in front. No idea if I explained that well, but it’s what Will helped my understand today. After training, Bernie talked to me again about capitals, and he quizzed me on Aruba, which is not a country in the JetPunk system so I didn’t know it. He told me it was Oranjestad and that he’d quiz me on it next time now. So now I’ve just also gotta work on memorizing that one too. I also went in the hot tub today, since it was done with the cleaning it was having last week. I wore my green swim suit and some lady told me she really liked it. On my way out, I also got my 6 free passes from Amy, which is especially cool because I could take some friends to the Sabes Center, which has an outdoor pool. Then I went back to Papa’s house, and I ate some Chinese food for lunch. I also did my Berguist questionnnaires on the Mayo portal for my upcoming appointment. Then Papa and I actually both drove back to my house, just so he could give me the extra cancer med and antidepressant he’d gotten shipped to him today. Tragically he didn’t get the chance to try out one of my new sets of Canasta decks today, even though I told him about them. I also took my meds the second I was able to today, at 4:53pm, with just a bunch of oat milk, because I wanted to stay hungry for later. Then basically as soon as he left my house, I had Caroline and Max come over. At this point, I was also purposely wearing the Marvel shirt that Hannah had given me a few weeks ago. We decided to walk over to Venn, which I hadn’t been to with Caroline before, just Hannah. At Venn, I started by just getting the 3$ Ginger Kombucha, since it hadn’t been quite long enough since the meds to eat or drink alcohol. Then we attempted to teach Caroline and Max the game of Canasta. It was kind of confusing, and it might have been better if Hannah and I played a few rounds of a two person game first to show an example. But they said they were ready to just learn, so we had the impossible task of teaching a game to two people while playing in a 4-person version of it we didn’t even fully understand. They said they’re quite open to learning more in the future though, and also like it. Then, once my 6:53pm alarm rang, we also got some food. Today they actually did have a food truck, which was the Parlour Bar food truck. I actually chose to get the Breakfast Burger, which they were shockingly serving at like 7pm. It was really good, and I think I made the best choice there. When I went back to the table after waiting a long time for the food, we took our photo of the day, and Hannah and Caroline told me that I should caption my photo of the day, “I eat burger,” which I did put into the title a little bit. I also told them a bit more about the potential new job at the school, and that I might make some new business cards, especially since Caroline has one of my old ones in her wallet, one that has a photo I took of her in high school on the back of it. Ah well, I’ll probably just work on my capital memorization a bit more now, and go to bed. Goodnight!
