Barre with Elizabeth and home

Updated: Apr 19, 2023

April 5, 2023: Well today was pretty good. I had my meds at 7:30am with about a quarter cup of Bob’s Salted Caramels, which Jodi had given me. When I went into the gym I listened to a Spanish story about therapy dogs from Simple Stories in Spanish. I wanted to listen to it in the gym too, but I’d forgotten my headphones. I actually realized I’d left them on the drive in, and I thought about going back to get them. I decided not to though. When I walked in I saw Will and confirmed that we’re on for Friday. Then I went to yoga, though Debi was actually away on spring break today, so the sub was a woman named Elizabeth who just started there. She teaches the 5:30pm class on Wednesdays, she said, and she is 27. I told her all about my project and told her it was helping with brain injury recovery and even showed her my notebook with notes. I told her she was younger than Debi, and I was kind of wondering if she was about my age. A little older, but cool to know. Then after yoga I actually poked my head into the pilates room that has these big machines I’ve always wondered about and asked the two women in there about them. Then I actually set up a half-hour introduction to the machines lesson on April 19 with the woman Emma. The other woman was named Megan and I told her that she had my old boss’s name. Would have been nice if I took a picture with them too, but I didn’t. I’m sure I will when I see Emma in a few weeks. After that I did my workout from Will. I didn't do the multiple workouts, just the first one and the abduction/adduction/assisted pull-up stuff. Then I decided to not swim and just drive over to Papa’s for lunch. While there I learned that one med that I had been calling an antidepressant was actually more of a “focus medication.” For lunch we had Indian food with lamb and fiery chicken curry. The lamb, mixed with the mango chutney, was the best part. Then I worked on my yearbook a bit and even started the (a) part of number 2. As of now I have 1(d) pretty much done and I’m starting on part 2, which starts with page 2 of January 2022. Page 1 of January 2022 was my CRP page, which I don’t feel like I have enough to say on. Then after I did that for a few hours I drove home a little before Papa drove to mock trial and had my night meds once I was home at 4:50 with aout 10-15g of rice and cheese. Now I’ve showered and it’s a bit past 7 and I’ll work on the yearbook some more and do a bit of Spanish practice.
