Aida and Fogo with Israel and Genesis

Dec. 9, 2022: Well today I passed my driver’s assessment. That is the big news. I took a selfie with Aida the person who was assessing me, and thank god I did because I only had a mediocre night at Fogo. And I try to take a photo of the best thing that happens to me every day and today it was definitely passing my drivers assessment. Like Fogo went pretty well and again I carried enough trays that I didn’t write them all down. But the best part of my day was definitely passing the driving assessment. My smile is genuine there. I didn’t even know she was doing that exactly, like she told me I shouldn’t drive on freeways and I was confused because I’ve been driving on freeways a lot with Papa. Then she clarified that she meant alone. So I can drive around the cities just not on freeways completely alone. It might take like a week for her to send the note to Dr. Tonkin and have him sign. So I’ll just continue doing what I’m doing now for the next week or so, but really it’s happening. At Fogo I took my meds at 5:18 and there were like 673 reservations. I also wrote that I set up and sat a table in Row 5. I also took a medium tray from Carlos in Amazon and a kinda heavy tray full of glasses from Clearly in Brazil. There was also a new server tonight, named Christina. She wasn’t wearing a vest yet. The other interesting thing is that I asked Ash who the fuck Ashraf is, and it turned out to be him. Just because I was giving the receipt for a table he’d served in Bar. The other cool thing that happened was I told Trevor that I passed my drivers assessment. It was before I even clocked in and I didn’t write it down at all. Arlon, El’s boss, was there tonight, and I shook his hand and told him nice to see him again. So that was cool. At the end of the night I had picanha from Teilor, with two pão de quiejo and rice, even though earlier in the night we were out of pão de queijo and I heard a server tell customers that. I also talked to Sese a bit and she asked who Evette was, aka “that lady who is always watching you.” Sese also gave me some cucumbers with salt on them, and that was an amazing taste. Clocked in at 5,547 and am now at 14,788.
