08.03.24 This is Mess of the end of July and very beginning of August!
JULY 25, 2024: Well, I definitely started writing this on the 25th, but now it’s August 1st and I’m just digging it out now!
Well, I’m finally back to writing today!!! (I said on the 25th) It’s currently 5:14pm, and Papa’s about to drive Miguel home, after letting him spend the night for a few nights. I LOVE having him in my life like that, and today he was also finally able to attend a session of occupational therapy (with Jessica) with me! Later on, we also went to physical therapy with a lady who was a substitute, named Allison. That felt decenetly useful because he’d been the one to help me complete my PT exercises for the week up at the cabin! Anyways, today was a solid green day! I put on my green eyeshadow and also one of my green long-sleeved shirts, which says The Great Lakes: NORTH AMERICA. Mom hasn’t gotten back to me on where we acquired it yet, but I asked her and I’m solidly curious! I think she just doesn't know, which might have been something she told me today, the 5th!
I’ve also included a picture of Miguel that I today, on July 25th, made a phone screen background, of Miguel at 3:01pm. I’ve also got a picture of me watching Papa going ahead and purchasing something I asked for recently, which was a scale for the bathroom.... just since I vividly remembered us having one there as I grew up, and now we haven’t had one! So today I witnessed him purchase my roughly $13.something scale, along with a picture of my green makeup and blue earrings and a picture of me with my physical therapist sub, Allison, who Miguel remembered as being called “Ellie” a bit, which is very possible, though I KNOW I wrote down “Allison.” I definitely wrote, “Allison tried 9s and then 10s.... they didn’t have 10s so I did 9.5, which were small with the AFOs.” I also just learned the word for “tight” in Spanish from Miguel, which is “apretados,” even though I definitely already knew “pequeños,” which is just “small” generally!
Maybe later tonight, I’ll edit a few more of my cabin tubing photos, which is something that I enjoy doing alone a LOT. Anyways, things just changed again. Instead of Papa having to drop Miguel off, his brother Sergio came to pick him up! So the three of us finished our shared dinner, which had 10 grams of fat in each three little shrimp breaded things, so I ate that, and then took my meds at 8:17 pm tonight, or at least I definitely finished the food by 6:34 pm, because that’s when I have a photo of my basically clean plate! OK, now it’s like 8pm, and I just took my sleep meds and a fiber gummy, along with a tab of Senna!
I’ve also got one picture from a few days later in here, which was actually one of the nurses, Abbie, French braiding my hair today after a shower. And tbh I just enjoy showers so much more after having been forced to not shower for a full week at the last place we stayed, which had no running water! Damnnn... I’ve still gotta find time to post a Flickr album of my 2024 cottage photos, which I tragically have not done yet! I also appreciate showers SO much more having spent a week with 0 running water! I did them both yesterday and today, with some help from a Mexican girl named Rebecca today, who I vaguely, vaguely remember telling me that her family might have been from the state of Oaxaca! I told her that Miguel was from Veracruz, too!
Sigue adelante luchadora!
