Oh God, this is “yesterday post” now! It’s the next morning, and I just woke up and had my meds with eggs... but I neeeed to talk about yesterday! Well yesterday, I slipped and fell in the morning, landing on my left big toe, which hurt a surprising amount. At the time, I felt kind of like all of my 130-something pounds had landed on it. I also succeeded in taking my meds at 7:30 am, with a bit of an avocado and a 6g-fat container of yogurt. After that, I had an appointment with some orthotics people to get myself fitted for AFOs, which will be custom-made. We decided to get those because of how useful they were with my walking the other day when I was testing some orthotics with a physical therapist at Mayo. Anyways, the orthotics people came to my house because someone in their office had a family emergency, and they sat down in our dining room chairs, which is in the photo that my mom took of them getting casts on both my legs, and they wrapped both my calves in gauze that molded into a “cast” in 5-10 minutes. ANYWAYS, let’s move on now! We also drove to Mayo Clinic, which we did in MY car, with mom driving it. Jodi/Bill came down with me because that had been the plan initially, for me to drive down with them! THEN, Bill did a wonderful thing when we got there and he went and bought us all some chai lattes and muffins at Caribou. Anyways, then I was admitted to the Mayo Clinic in the Charleton Building, which I obviously know obscenely well since I always joke that I basically live outta the Mayo Clinic. Anyway.... lemme go back to my notes now... I did NOT bring my current notebook, #22, tragically. Maybe it’s something my dad could bring me when he comes down, which could be in like a day or two. Oh, and now we’re just waiting for my lunch to come, which we ordered like half an hour ago now! I’ll just save a detailed talk of it for the next day’s post tbh.
