JUNE 20, 2024
JUNE 20, 2024: So far, today hasn’t been spectacular like yesterday was, but it’s still pretty fun. I was just looking through all my photos and thinking about how much I love being around people! Today for my pictures I have a picture with Dr. Lester, my radiologist, who I don’t remember ever meeting before! Funny, I just asked my dad if we’d met him before, and I learned that today’s meeting was the THIRD time we’ve met in recent weeks. The first time I asked him about where he studied and how he ended up at Mayo Clinic. We think it was somewhere in North Carolina, which I NEED to remember to ask him about the next time that I meet with him! THAT is kind of how I “fake my memory being better than it is.” I just will always put little things like that on my Any.Do, which is like a to-do list app, which my mom also uses too! Currently, it has “Read Earth of Foxes with Miguel, which I should actually just delete because I thought it was some Spanish book, but I don’t even know if I have it. I also need to schedule something with Mattheas one of these days.... maybe he could meet Miguel too! I just LOVE having a boyfriend like that, who I can use as an “excuse to hang out with people.” I’ve already asked Caroline about doing a double date with her and Max sometime, which would be wonderful because Miguel is a little interested in working in the medical field in some capacity! ANYWAYS, I just got my other two photos in here now, and I have Dr. Lester at Mayo Clinic, and also a lady named Jennifer who my dad talked to extensively while I was calling Leanne for speech therapy, in Dr. Tonkin’s office at HCMC! And now I’m being driven back from Mayo Clinic, and I’m down to 17%, which is a nice number! Oh DAMN, I just went down to 16%! #tragic ;-( Well, we’re essentially back to Minneapolis now, four minutes from Open Door too, which is the one location that I’m not particularly interested in volunteering at again, because they don’t allow me to work as a translator, which is what I LOVE doing! I think I have enough other things going on now anyway, and I DESPERATELY want to bring Miguel to Methodist Church someday! Also, my computer just got down to 9 percent, which is low enough to prove that I've been seriously working here! Oh well, might add something else tomorrow, but who knows... I'm about to get home! We're on Hiawatha now, which is always the sign I look for to direct me back to my dad's house! At 7% now, and I'm stupidly tempted to publish this now, on the road! Ok, I did that, and now Miguel is gonna come over and eat my medication meal with me, probably! I ALSO received my shipment of new Allbirds that my mom bought me the other day. The purple ones fit best, and the bottoms are SO much stickier/grippier than the old ones. I've also gotta figure out how to express that idea in Spanish now!
