06.16.24 AYER: Papa on Father’s Day, Miguel editing photos, Heidi pics!

Updated: Jun 30, 2024

JUNE 16, 2024

Another YESTERDAY! On the 16th,  mom and I drove down to Mayo Clinic and completed another session of targeted radiation therapy. I’m also realizing that “ayer” is one of my favorite words en español! It’s shorter than “yesterday” too, which is what it means!

Well, for yesterday I’ve also got a random picture I snagged of myself holding an envelope I labeled “Fotos! Heidi Hoefs Sr,” and a picture of me holding one of the dozens of ducks that the Mayo radiology team decorated their desk with in the Charleton building, desk R. Yesterday I don’t think I really took notes, which was unfortunate, but I can remember that we got McDonald’s on the way home, and I got my wonderful frozen lemonade with sprite slushy thing, along with a cheeseburger, which would have been perfect for my meds, but it was like 12pm, so I just took my focus med, and not the one with annoying food requirements. For the photos, Heidi the mom also asked me to give her them on a flash drive because she hasn’t been able to access the photos from my Flickr link, which has worked well for me, and clients, since basically 2016.

Going through my day, then Miguel was able to pop by my house pretty much just in time to catch the edge of the Kelly family Zoom call I was on at the time, which happens at 4pm every Sunday! The cool thing is that I don’t have to drive or be driven to give  the mom Heidi her flash drive of Heidi’s wedding photos, since I’ll see her tomorrow when she drives me to Mayo for my radiation! I’m also just really happy to see her and be able to talk to her a bit about my new relationship and things there! I’ve also got a picture of Miguel accompanying me on my bed while I was editing photos, which I captioned, “Miguel editing photos conmigo!!!” even though I was the one doing all the editing.  Oh my God, I just had to replace the photo of Mayo’s rubber ducks, with a photo Miguel took of me and Papa yesterday at 6:03pm. I’m wearing my beautiful green outfit, and we’re standing in the kitchen. In relation to "Mayo’s ducks," Papa and I copied what mom and I had done, and we took photos with our favorite ducks! Mine was glittery, and blue! His was gray, at least it was today! And NOW, I’m just updating this before my computer goes and dies on me, 4% right now!! Forgot to add that it was Father's Day yesterday too, which I gave Papa a card for as well!
