01.08.25: Another trip to Mayo Clinic emergency room

Updated: Jan 12

Wednesday, Jan. 8, 2025

On Wednesday, I threw up right away in the moring. I had thrown up a couple times yesterday night, too. My parents say are supposed to be watching symptoms carefully for my possible problems with my shunt.

In the ED, I got IV fluds, a CT scan, anti-nausea meds. After a while, my nuerosurgeon came in and ended up adjusting the setting on my shunt, to increase the resistance. They’re trying to figure out if the shunt drainage rate is correct, because I keep having symptoms and my ventricles in my brain keep changing sizes.

I didn’t get admitted, and when we came home, I had for dinner, baked potato and sweet potato for dinner with my meds.
